Race Report For WSK 2nd Round-Angerville France
4-7 April
2008

Last weekend saw Chris Swanwick, 14, of Dagfa House School, in Beeston, compete in the 2nd round of the “WSK” International series in Angerville, France.
The meeting turned out to be a real test of character for Chris, who after getting over a few mechanical problems during practice and timed qualifying had to contend with heavy rain, sleet and snow during the heats, but in his rookie year only his second international meeting Chris managed to qualify 32nd from a field of 96 which included drivers from all over Europe, America and Japan.
Starting at the rear of the grid in a 16 lap final Chris got pushed out at the first bend, but managed to fight his way back up to 20th before seemingly to lose some power & ended up piping Suarez Francisco of Spain across the line to take 26th position. Nicola Gregory partner of Paul Spencer Race Director of `The Tony Kart Junior Race Team` said “Chris is improving at a rate I have never seen in Karting and I have been around a long time.”
Chris now goes to Wigan next weekend to compete in the first round of `The British Super One`.
