Race Report: Winter Series Round 3 @ PFI
20 January 2008

In the first major karting event of the new year, The British Winter Series Round 3 at the renowned Lincolnshire PFI circuit, Chris Swanwick, 14, from Greasley, Nottingham, was left with the difficult task of finishing in the top four of the B Final, in order to be able to progress through to the A Final. This was as a result of a series unfortunate incidents in the heats.

Chris managed to do that convincingly, leaving it to the very last corner before forcing Charlie Barre, wide and nipping down the inside. After a more than impressive drive from the back of the grid in slot 26, Chris went on to ultimately claim 6th position in the 'A' Final, displaying an eye-catching turn of speed and race craft

Chris, a pupil of Dagfa House School, at Beeston, now heads out to Italy to particpate in the Official Practice sessions for the World Karting Series.
