British Super One, Rd.1, Three Sisters, Wigan. 12/13 April 2008 The 1st Round of `The British Super One` at Three Sisters, Wigan, saw Chris Swanwick of Dagfa House School in Beeston qualify a disappointing 29th after problems with starting his kart at the beginning of Timed Qualifying session on the Saturday afternoon, this left him needing two good results in the heats on the Sunday morning to make the finals. Starting 17th on the grid Chris drove superbly to finish 9th in the 1st heat and 8th in the second, giving him mid grid position for the two finals, from where in the first final he battled his way through the field to finish 6th, lapping in the same time as the leaders, after only four laps of the second final Chris was lying 5th but encountered a carburettor problem and could only manage to finish 22nd. With the next round being at his local circuit in Lincoln next month Chris is hoping for single figure finishes to force his way into the top five of the championship. Full listings...
